Dutch Gaming Authority Alert Operators To Protect Consumer Rights Within Their Jurisdiction
In the last couple of weeks, Dutch Gaming Authority has been on its operator of the need to protect its consumers and also treat them with caution. On witnessing its announcement on the need to carry out a prohibition on advertising gambling products or services with the help of celebrities and images, the Dutch Gambling Authority is seeking to address yet another crucial issue.

Gambling Industries Caution Operators
The regulator’s chairman René Jansen speaks on the issue that there are things to be admired in the industry. The pioneer used the occasion of the Gaming in Holland industry meeting to caution operators that if they don’t step down, they should at least comply with the government measures, and therefore, the regulator would need to intervene and enforce what it’s needful for consumers.
The Dutch Gaming Authority insists that the operators put more effort into hiding the regulators’ wishes. And despite its strict rules on gambling, the regulator has also let consumers and operators have a conducive safe betting and gambling line. Players can remove themselves and set their limits without disturbance by the government; also, operators must make sure that those people are gambling within the threshold.
Proper Risk Assessment Empowers New Framework
Although the freedom this will create will also pose risks for operators that may outsmart the process. Jansen demonstrates his concern that some operators may fail to recognize the opportunity at their disposal to take full responsibility for the consumer and not use a backdoor to garner more profit.
Making profit alone is good, says Jansen, and as long as the operators maintain a proper risk profile assessment of their players, it is also called an affordability check in most cases. Consumers and operators sometimes overlook this process, but it will be important in cases where the operators must verify that a given individual has been playing within their means.
Jansen also stated that the operators must also get themselves ready for government supervision, and the regulator will aim to ensure that all former policies of the gambling framework are reached in full.
The Dutch Gaming Authority has been slow in pursuing a strict position against gambling companies. Sometimes when the regulator issues a shutdown or closes down, they would reframe the names from the public, which has not helped the matter. This we see that it may bust as the regulator gets angrier with the operator breaking these rules.
